Noto is considered the Capital of the Sicilian Baroque. Noto and its churches were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in 2002. Entire city was rebuilt on a new place in the 18th century, as a consequence of the 1693 earthquake. Churches and noble homes cut in beautifully colored limestone.
